Customer Evaluations

Ok, so I gave this monitor 4 stars rather than 5 because it does have some annoying flaws. I have researched so a lot of monitors for many cameras and this 1 seemed the top. I had the Summer Infant Top View, which was Fantastic I sold it to a friend to help pay for this one, and I was sort of sad considering I wasn't positive how this a single would compare. It seems, like most of the reviews, as lengthy as you do not get a "lemon", it operates awesome.
I bought mine from BabiesRus.com and ordered the additional camera too (they have it in stock perfect now, and Amazon does not.) Basically, the initial 1 I attempted, the monitor was blank and showed nothing. But if I hooked it up to my Television, I could see the child sleeping, so I knew it wasn't the camera. I brought that 1 back and got one more one particular. This 1 functions! The video superior is not as really good as the Most effective View, but is really good enough. I have listed the PROS and CONS beneath
PROS
-Normal amount of interference with Wi-Fi. You will have this dilemma with most video monitors.
-No static...highly clear sound, and we are 2300 feet from my daughter's room.
-The battery on the monitor appears to be pretty excellent, lasts all day and I charge it each night, even though it is not entirely drained.
-The battery pack for the camera is a neat feature, but I haven't hooked it up. Keep in thoughts that if you obtain an extra camera, the battery pack is not included.
-The volume is definitely superb and there are no issues with hearing the infant rustling about on the sheets, which is good.
-Scanning feature! This feature is what I have been looking for. When you put it on "scan," it scans among the cameras you have set up. When the video is on, you see and hear what is being monitored (1st camera, then 2nd...and back to 1st once again.) When you are sleeping, and the video is off, the sound is still scanning in between rooms. On other monitors, the sound would quit on the room you had the camera on last. What's the point in that? Also, some have no sound and only video scanning. Like any person is just going to remain awake all night and stare at the video monitor to see if there are any matters with the babies. This one particular does the trick, though, with both video and audio scanning.
-The monitor is pretty sensitive to touch and uncomplicated to use.
-Camera is effortless to swivel about to your preference...from the comfort of your bedroom, or wherever...though, I fairly substantially just maintain it where it is. :)
-I love the intercom feature given that sometimes I just speak to my daughter just for enjoyable...when she is awake and I am about to go get her. She looks at the camera and says, "mama" I adore it
-There is a definitely nice "leg" on the monitor that is effortless to open and close so you can stand it up, if you select. (The dock props it up, as well, which tends to make speedy "glances" at the monitor simple and easy. If you decide on not to use the dock, the plug goes perfect into the monitor if you do not delight in the dock. (I discuss this below in the Con section.))
CONS
-It appears that there are a lot of "lemons" out there, so if yours has troubles, bring it back and get one more a single correct away.
-The dock is truly light and is magnetic, so when I try to pick it up off the dock with a single hand, it commonly picks up the dock and drops it on the floor. Annoying, but not a deal-breaker.
-The "talk" button is proper by the power button and given that you have to hold the power button to turn the monitor off and hold the talk button to talk to the kid, some men and women have reported accidentally holding the talk button and waking the child. This has not occurred to me. It would be wise for Summer Infant to make a minor transform in that region.
-Video superior can absolutely be improved. The night vision is better than the color, but certainly, it is continually dark when I am monitoring her, so this is not a trouble. And, once again, not a deal-breaker for me.
CONCLUSION
Basically, it boils down to how countless rooms/children you are monitoring. The scanning feature is just too valuable and outweighs all of the cons, in my opinion Please ask questions, if you have them. I had millions and just went for it

For the past year, we've owned the Summer Infant Night Day Video Monitor and the video excellent is great (crystal clear). A couple of months ago, the volume did not operate at specific levels and the sound began to have much more static, producing it distracting in the course of sleep for me.
We began seeking at the digital monitors (as I've heard they will under no circumstances get the "static" sound). We went for the Summer Infant BabyTouch. From the start off we had been in love with the sleek look and all of the capabilities. Everything works fantastic...except the video good quality. If this is your very first video monitor, you'll in all probability love this (you won't have anything to compare it to). If you've had excellent video top quality just before and are switching to this video monitor, it will be noticeable for you.
The video is grainy and the movement is somewhat choppy (consider gas station video footage). You can nonetheless make out exactly where the baby is and what is going on, but it is just not crystal clear like the picture on the box shows. I did call consumer service at Summer Infant and was highly impressed with their help. They created some suggestions and had been incredibly friendly and useful, but their suggestions didn't assist at all.
The functions of this monitor outweigh the negative video good quality, so we have decided to maintain this monitor (we even exchanged it at our nearby shop to see if there was a difference in them...there wasn't).
Pros -
- Painless to navigate about (sound, pan, zoom, etc...)
- Terrific sound
- Fantastic pan
- Speak feature
- Docking station (fast to put on and it's charging versus getting to obtain the cord to plug in and charge)
- Touch screen
Cons -
- Lame zoom (but all video monitors have this zoom - jumps straight to a closer view)
- The "talk" button is located next to the on and off button. You have to hold the on/off button for 4 seconds and the "speak" button has to be held down (like a Walkie Talkie) to be heard. I've accidentally held down the "speak" button when I thought I was turning on/off the monitor and was talking (waking my son up). It really is not the finish of the globe, but just a suggestion to the business to switch the place of this button (it really is the exact same size as the on/off button too).
- The video good quality is a large disappointment
