Client Evaluations
This method has excellent range and acceptable audio/video signals. The surprising thing about it is the limitations it has for a $300 technique...
I have additional than a single kid and wanted to invest in a second camera so I can switch amongst channels and view every kid (a reasonable expectation because many lower expense systems provide an added camera solution to do just that). Right here is the response given by their customer service: "There is not a second camera alternative for that program. It has two channel selection to reduce interference" (huh? you have two channels but can't use a second camera?) This appears particularly short sighted to me unless their expected demographic is only for persons with one child, specifically for the expense of this system.
One other oddity is the use NiCad batteries in the portable monitor, Nicads have well documented memory effect problems if you do not let them to entirely discharge ahead of recharging them, this is a further inconvenience that I am not certain why they chose this instead of NIMH or LI-Ion batteries.
I suppose I can live with the battery concern but the camera problem is making me think of returning this product for a different that will fit my needs.
Incredibly excellent monitor.
Pros:
(+) Definitely like how it contains two monitors (so two folks in diverse locations can both monitor our son).
(+) Like how the handheld video monitor can be connected and displayed on substantial Tv
Cons:
(-) Some static interference when in a while
(-) Handheld video monitor when not connected with the ac plug will go into sleep mode following a couple of minutes (not audio, just video). You will have to have to press a button on top to turn it back on
(-) Can not pan or zoom
For roughly the identical value, you can get the Summer Most effective View monitor which I also purchased (kept each for several places). Personally like that 1 improved due to. It pretty significantly addresses all the down falls of this unit getting reviewed: clearer picture, capacity to pan zoom and video stays on even when AC not connected. The only issue is that the Perfect View cannot connect to a bigger Television and only includes the handheld unit. Truly all you have to have in my opinion even though.
Summer makes awesome merchandise.
